Digging a new lawn Expand / Collapse

Hello -

I'm looking for some advise as to where to start digging a new lawn. I'm planning to just start with the area around the wall so I can get some shrubs down. I have also a load of spring bulbs which I want to get down this week. My questions is, how do I start digging this soil. The last grass cutting was carried out by a herd of cattle, so at the moment there is thick grass. Do I just get a mini differ and start from there?

Any help is appreciated.

Lillythelion Hi

Why do you wont to dig a new lawn if you have grass already? just prepair the ground you need for your shrubs and bulbs. background
