I have a beautiful white rose bush which I received as a present 2 years ago (it was a 2yr old plant then). It didn't grow much in the first year but this year it went gaga & it produced loads of beautiful white flat heads.
Unfortunately my in-laws 3 dogs have taken a fancy to it, all summer long they have been urinating on it, I always watered the bush down when I could but I think they've killed it. The lower leaves on the bush turned yellow about a month ago & they've all fallen off, some of the stalks are completely bare. I can't remember if the rose bush lost it's leaves last year (I was busy with a new baby) & I would be disappointed if it is going to die. My mother-in-law pointed out that they are now doing it on my lilac tree too which is very yellow, (I bought this year) and it is only about 3 years old. Can dog urine kill plants?
Is there anything I can spray around my rose bush to prevent the dogs from killing it? Can it be saved?
Can anyone help?
