Help! What's causing the buds to fall off my Camellia? It' a large(5') shrub in a container and it has always flowered well-I have it about 10 years now.It survived the cold snap very well but, after the wet, windy weather on Saturday I noticed most of the buds have dropped off. Any ideas anyone? background

You are probably suffering from "premature bud drop" appropriately named as this disorder is caused by poor cultural practices such as not providing appropriate watering along with good soil drainage and possibly poor cultural care the previous summer and autumn when the new buds were developing.
Water and feed after flowering. background
