I have been recently to Victoria, Australia.Being a a warmer climate and with a very different flora the gardens, the choice of plants were fascinating. With a strong preference still for the traditional plants of western Europe there is a huge effort to persuade the growing public to use native Australian plants. The new iconic Australian plant garden of Cranbourne is a big statement in the effort to turn the Australians to use native plants. Watch out for Chelsea this year where the first Australin plant garden will be unveiled. background
