Hi Guys,

Garden advice needed urgently.

My garden is currently a very boring plot of grass with a garden shed in the corner and needs a makeover urgently. I am thinking of planting some large trees along the back wall for some privacy and some borders along the side walls with a deck along the back wall of the house.

Greatly appreciate any advice from garden lovers to help give this poor garden a new lease of life.

Be careful inserting large trees in any landscape as they are very difficult to take out once they've established themselves. Raised beds are a good call, especially because they allow easy access and show off your flowers really well. Maybe you could try growing a small bit of fruit/veg? Spuds and strawberries are easy to start, after that grow what you are actually going to use. Don't get too carried away with plans and planting. The plants you put in will only give you a good idea of how they look once they are fully established. Take your time, in a similar way to food, if you tease yourself you'll get hungrier for it, but if you over indulge at the start you'll get tired and sicken yourself!!! background
