It was interesting and funny to read all those replies. When I lived at home with my parents my Mum used to put the old glass milk bottles upside down in the garden on sticks. It looked weird, and people going past used to ask why they were there, but it worked, it kept both cats and dogs out of the garden. background

This may sound a bit mad as well but an old lady once told me to fill an empty coke bottle (2ltr) with water and put in on my lawn. I tried it and hey presto it worked. If that doesn't work then i think Rachel's idea is the only other way. (I'm not a dog lover either) Hope that helps.. background

Yes Paddy, that works also, my neighbour has them strewn all over his garden. I think it may be to keep my dog out. She still wanders round his garden but does not poo in it, only in mine.

Did you hear about the couple lying in bed, they were fed up listening to the neighbour's dog barking. After twenty mins, the husband jumped out of bed and disappeared. Fifteen mins later he returned and the wife said, where did you go? He said, I put that bloody dog in our garden, see how they like it !!. background

I have two boxers and they go a lot . when I moved house to a bigger garden they started going everywhere but the one place I wanted them to go .you need to scoop the poop and leave it in the same place all the time .then follow them and encourage them by rewarding them to go where you want them to go by treats .problem solved background

If your neighbour does not take the hint..........

.......strictly speaking the dog poo belongs to your neighbour and should be returned over the hedge, use a scooper, enjoy. try to hit the car. Night time best for the return service. background
