I've never seen chocolate cosmos seeds for sale. Usually they are sold as either plants in pots or else as tubers like a dahlia. If you want to propogate a chocolate cosmos I think you would have to take cuttings in the spring/early summer.

I bought chocolate cosmos a few years ago in a plant shop at the end of capel st, they are out there. Unfortunately the plants I had died, I think I had them planted in the wrong area, they seem to be a lot more sensitive than cosmos sensation. Good luck finding them and if I come across them I'l let you know.

I bought chocolate cosmos mail order from the heritage bulb company or maybe it was Mr. middleton. Any way it came as root cuttings. It's a perennial not an annual like the usual cosmos. It's growing slowly, not in flower yet.

Suek, Cosmos Atrosanguineus (aka chocolate cosmos) is mostly sold as tender bulb best keep an eye out for them in Jan/Feb usually Taylor bulbs sell them in all good garden centres. I have bought these 2/3 times and find them awfully difficult to overwinter so treat them as an annual. I've only ever seen one company offer them as seed and that www.b-and-t-world-seeds.com but there sold out I believe. I'm not sure how long it would take from seed to flower but I'd imagine it would take more than one season?

Hi, I had Chocolate Cosmos and then it dissapeared - so I dug the bed over and planted broccolis and something else and then suddenly in June, something came up - anyway the long and the short of it is that I now have about 5 chocolate cosmos plants in a pot and more in the ground - sometimes being neglectful can be rewarding - am in Galway area happy to give some away to anyone who wants them - have been known to post plants as well!
