The Penstemons are great for late flowering , Apple blossom and ?Blackbird still going strong.

What a gorgeous blue hope the flower opens completely , think it has the wrong label!!!

And my supervisor who sits in my sort of greenhouse and makes sure  I care for the plants while she takes care of intruders!

The seed heads of Clematis campaniflora , they look like UFOs  with the spikes . The flower is very pretty , all gone now, small tinged blue a sub species of viticella I think.

Cryptomeria has great cones this year.

When you find a plant that you thought had 'closed down' for the Winter has decided to show more flowers. This was the case with Clematis Princess Diana and Eucryphia Ballerina. The Clematis was only planted this year so I wonder if I should harden my heart and remove the flowers....mmmmmmmmmm

Still waiting to get a memory card but the camera memory allowed me take 6 pictures. It was very exciting trying it for the first time. At once I could see that I was getting very accurate colour reproduction and also with the much higher zoom was able to get better close ups. Long way to go to learn how to get the best from my new toy but should be fun.

The view from my Kitchen window is good just now with the Autumn colours.  Behind the Bamboo is a big group of Kaffir lilies and behind them the red foliage of Cornus alba. The blue items are bags of farmyard manure!!

Help please
