Looking for a name....

This chap moved into my garden today and he needs a name, any suggestions?

What a pity.....

That  Winter Heliotrope is an ''alien, noxious weed'' and so invasive that even one ier who shall of course be nameless , would probably not grow it!!!!  It grows vigorously on a roadside where I walk. The scent is wonderful and so unusual at this time of year to be walking along and enjoying the wafts of scent. But do beware and never let it pass your threshold!

I never had Gerberas until last Summer.  I am so impressed with these plants , they last for so long and the colours can be so vibrant. I shall be first in  Aldi or Lidl when they appear and be clutching my 'Gerbera fund' in my hot sticky fist. I dug up last year's plants and put them under shelter. Anybody have any comment on these plants? Anyone leave them in the ground over Winter?

This is one of my favourite plants since I first saw a pot of them in Dillons years ago. I had built up a lovely collection until two years ago when the rats ate all the bulbs. Started again, ordering 10 each year so now have 20 and just put in an order for this year.  They are quite pricey so building back my collection slowly. They last for ages though since I started bringing them into the house during the Winter for safety they show very early and some are a few inches already.

Iris ID please.

I thought this Iris was 'Harmony' but now have doubts. Looks a bit different with the 'falls' seemingly at the tip. Any ideas?

Went out to collect plants forr Johnstown and to my amazement there was Iris Katharine Hodgkin in flower , two of them.  Then noticed several clumps of Primroses and the Anemones I had planted in a trough not so long ago are flourishing with several buds.

Off topic for cat lovers.

I only heard this story tonight. There are lots of references and videos out there but this is one of the best. Enjoy.
