Good to get a show like this so early in the year. Ignore the date on the photo ,old camera and that date seems stuck!

Did my first real work in the garden today as it was a good sunny day and not cold. The ground is of course sodden but good for weeding. The amount of wood in the beds and just everywhere is amazing ,small bits , big bits and branches but in time I will get them cleared.

I have a few babies and if anybody wants them can pot them up. There are three there for grabs. It really is an amazing plant and grows so quickly.

Yes it is so good to be back on air. I really felt isolated without my dear puter. But as I said my knowledge of Winter sports has increased no end and I wish I was young and could have a go on a snow board.

No gardening I won't be able to work up any enthusiasm until all the branches get cleared and where the piles will go is a mystery. I think hiring a big shredder would be the answer but suppose they are like gold dust these days , so we will wait and see.

We have seen our own trees fall and numerous others as we look around the countryside, loads of pictures so did not see any point in showing mine........but here they are!!!!!

Just dropping in....

Well we know there is no true blue hellebore cos it has not got the appropriate pigment. But having seen the 'Blue metallic' last year I had to have it. So off to ebay where I got 4 small plants. I did not think I would get any flowers this year but that was wrong! They are small and a bit battered but the blue colour is there, to me anyhow. It is like as if a dusting of glittery blue descended on a very dark purple giving an overall blue appearance.  I love it and look forward to them growing tall and strong with big flowers but this year they have done quite well.

The photos are plain bad a freezing wind numbed my paws.
