The Good is my favourite Camellia , Brushfield Yellow,  in full bloom and so pretty. The Bad is very sad; my Choisya sundance appears to have some horrid disease probably Root rot and is in a bad state. I have this for more than 16 years and it was so cheerful and flowered well.

A  couple of years ago PeterW kindly gave me a Heron. It has been next to the pond since then. But a few days ago I had an idea which I think works very well. This Heron is life size so I decided to He does look very life like as he surveys the countryside and down to the water.

Beautiful flower!!

Beautiful flower!!

Well blame Meg , she thinks she is more beautiful than the Daffodils even if it seems some are growing out of her head!  So there were sulks until I promised to show you.

Dry here today, no sun but not too chilly so took a stroll around the garden. Did some weeding en route . Clematis armandii is flowering really well as usual and covering the shed completely. Daffodils making a good show but a few Anemones are very special. My beloved A.bordeaux is starting and will go on in various places for ages such a super plant. Each year I try to show a photo with the real colour of the petals but have never managed as they always look more red than in reality where they are maroon. Another loved one is the red A.pavonini which is just opening so photos to follow.
