The Good Life!!
Green with envy here reading about the wonderful day you all had at Rachel's - what a lovely treat and I can not think of a nicer way to spend the day then at a lovely garden with lots of other like minded people - well done Rachel it is very generous ( and brave!! ) of you to open up your garden like that.
Some of our friends call us "Tom and Barbara"!! and I have to say that to be self sufficient as much as possible is something we work at. We rear our own Poultry (Chickens and Turkeys) and Beef. We try to grow all our own Vegetables expect potatoes and on a day like today sitting down to roast chicken with home grown garden peas, turnip and carrots followed by strawberries and cream or home made rubarb crumble I feel we are getting closer to achieving our goal.
Sun shining, happy children, holidays on Tuesday for two and a half weeks maybe we are living the "good life" after all. Happy days
Have a great gardening week!!
PS It is that basket again!! different produce this time - Cabbage, carrots, Peas, turnip and beetroot - all cooked and eaten by now!!

How this site has grown in popularity in the last year - there are so many members now it is difficult to remember who everyone is - It is much easier when people use a picture of themselves as the profile - puts a face with the name - so come on all you people who are hiding behind pictures of your favourite flower lets be seeing you!!
