Grew these from seed earlier in the year and liked the unusual leaf shape when they were seedlings (see earlier posts)

They are well named too. When I saw one in flower early one nice sunny morning I made a mental note to photograph it. However when I remembered later that evening the flower had closed.....

I planted these against a bare wall in ground that really had no right to provide nourishment but obviously something worked. I had nowhere else ready or suitable.

They do need a lot of training however and I hope they are Perennials ???

Showing a flower this morning but God help it when the first frost arrives....................

I dread the entire plant turning to mush!!

Removed some 35 year old shrubbery today and boy was it tough going.. Pickaxe, Sledgehammer and shovel all deployed.

These shrubs were doing absolutely nothing for me so "adios" In there place there are now One Red Rose (replanted) two Sedums and a nice new "Mum" of a colour I didnt have.

Must post some before photos too.

Dropped into Woodies Kilkenny this evening as daughter number 2 was training. Went in to look for some new Rose bushes but didnt fancy what they had as most appeared to have Black Spot !

Came home with two of these little chaps whose foliage I found pleasing. I suppose its the wrong time of year and I will now spend the winter "minding" them.

Interestingly a label on them warned against "Improper and Illegal propogation" whatever that is ! I believe they can be XXXXX from stem cuttings,, not that I would of course.

I have six plants (Peppers) 3 per growbag. Why is it that one lot look like elongated Peppers or Chillies?

They came from the same seed packet only difference was I pinched out the growing tips on the elongated ones onths ago !

Any ideas or have I discovered a new method of growning long Peppers ? lol

Well I managed to avoid meeting any fellow Gardener.iers today in Mt Congreve !!!

Where were you all?? Heard someone say "Hello Rachel" in the garden shop area as I was starting our visit and wondered was it our Rachel. Seriously folks as a newish member can I suggest we all wear big straw hats or some other easily recognisable assemble. ha ha ha..

Really enjoyed our visit and imagine when I almost walked into the Paulownia Tormentosa growing in a natural environment, talk about a eureka moment !!  The gent in the shop was very helpful too and my good wife browbeat him into a free Dahlia.

Nice photos Fran..
