Took some cuttings if this nice flower from Mums garden this evening . Fine big ground cover and about two feet in heights . Very soft stemmed .

The Paulownia has grown four feet this summer .. I love their large umbrella leaves up to two feet across .

Damage Explained in detail

You know how I keep finding potted plants shredded and damaged. Had my suspicions for some time as to the culprit but no proof. Well today I got my proof ! Photo taken through the kitchen window so he was unaware of the surveillance.

Pepper Dust my ass.....Doesnt work I actually thinks he likes the stuff. Keeps drooling............................

Guilty your honor and the sentence is *%*%(*&^ Actually I intend to put the potting table on stilts until Hunter grows up or is that down ?

He's only eight months old.

Potted Hostas

while visiting a friend recently she showed me some large Hostas she keeps in pots on her patio. Why didn't I think of this ? New ideas are always welcome . Keeps the slugs at bay too she says .

Loftus Hall Gardens

Yes THAT Loftus Hall . The most haunted house in Ireland one . We took a day trip on Monday as the daughter awaiting her results wanted to be occupied ! Hook head light house and then up the road for the scare treatment . Thoroughly enjoyed the tour which had its moments. Afterwards a stroll in the sunshine after the gloom of the house . Done lovely color combinations in a walled garden that could offer so much more but I bet they will keep adding to it . I wasn't allowed bring any souvenir slips or cuttings home though .. Wonder why ? Duncannon beach on way home and ferry across from Ballyhack to shorten the trip back to Tipp.

Seeds Anyone ?

Seeds Anyone ?

Love the way Poppy heads lift their caps for seed dispersal . I appear to have a million or two Poppy seeds to spare if anyone wants some ? Likewise with Calendula which are now going to seed in some numbers .

PM me while Iam in good humour ha ha

after the last Garden Mag featured " Marvellous Monarda" I decidedI needed some of these lovely red in the garden and Perrenials too . Seeds holy to the rescue and the smallest seeds I have ever planted are now peeping . A labour of love to overwinter but it's an added interest in the dark days to come .

The Tomatoes are at last starting to ripen . I can't wait . Last year I planted six plants but it was a disaster as too many in a confined space . Yep is loads and plenty of fruit thankfully
