Aldi Murder

Aldi Murder

Strange to find dead and dying Heucheras alongside strong healthy plants in Aldi today . Selling off the dying plants for €1 each . Good plants €5.99 so I bought 3 of the dying ones . I bet they recover!

What a miserable day .

What a miserable day .

What a miserable day .

It's been raining all day with strong gusty winds that have somehow dumped three Geraniums and two window boxes into their backsides . My language let me down I fear ... Planted two Heuchera yesterday ( is that how you spell it ) as I don't have any so far and the foliage looks nice . Do they grow big as I planted them towards the front of a dryish bed ? No labels aboard at time of purchase . I was hoping to put away the growho for the winter once the Tomatoes were finished but now have four seed trays of various Echinacea sprouting . I really like the coneflowers and only realised recently they come in many different types. The bee colony are busy on the flowering Sedums in the garden but apart from the sedums they foraged away from the garden in general . Far away hills are greener obviously . Hopefully honey this time next year as the colony has grown well during the summer and brood chamber is full of food for the winter . Lots to do still as I have a large Chestnut tree that needs some serious surgery as its now two thirds cross the lawn . I think I will call the experts as my climbing days are not as enjoyable now that iam in the half century bracket .
