Sweet pea
My Sweet Pea came on well while I was away and they have a beautiful scent.

I was afraid that some of the Petunias or other things in containers might have died of drought but luckily almost everything survived. Everything has had a growth spurt too and as we had rain last night and this morning I had to go out when it stopped and cut back or tie back several things at the ecge of the front path--either that or get wet legs going in and out!

I'm off to Kerry tomorrow for a week to do a bit of walking , weather permitting. Enjoy yourselves in the meantime!

Darker frilly poppy
I think this one is actually more like the original one I grew a few years ago.

Another photo
This is the only other angle I have.

Anyone know what this is?
It's a bulb and has been in this container for some years that's all I can remember about it. Probably in a free bulbs collection sometime.

Yellow and blue again
I put this Geranium in front of the yellow Loosestrife thinking they would make a nice contrast but the Geranium would need to be a bit taller for it to work!

I'm definitely glad I didn't pull up this self seeder.

Petunias
I thought the Petunias flowers were going over very quickly so decided that they were probably getting too big for their pots so I had to move them into bigger ones. It's amazing how fast they grow once they get going. So far I have 2 red, one cerise, one cerise with a white throat, one cream. one dark purple and one lighter purple and a couple still to flower so I'm very pleased with the result.

Climbing rose
I don't know the name of this rose but it is incredibly strong. It's been in the garden more than 30 years. it was cut back to almost nothing about 5 years ago but it has bounced back and stretches along my neighbour's hedge for almost 10 metres. It doesn't repeat flower unfortunately.

Petunia
Today the first of my seedlings has flowered, a Petunia as usual. I find they reallly develop fast once they get going. This is when all the pricking out and hardening off is worth it!

Geranium Splish-Splash
I grew this from seeds that came free with a magazine a few years ago. The flowers vary , sometimes completely white or completely blue. And I have another one which seems to have only blue flowers--maybe it self seeded and reverted or something. Plants can really be amazing!

Gaura changed colour!
Last year I bought a pale pink Gaura as a bargain and thought it had died even before the winter came. But up it came and is now flowering , but it is a mauvish-blue! Even bluer than it looks in the photo.

Plants with labels
When I was away on the trip I tried to get photos of plants with their labels and have put up an album of these. Sometimes it's hard to see which plant goes with a label so apologies if there are any mistakes!

Wisley
On the last day of our trip we visited the RHS garden at Wisley which was absolutely amazing. In some ways I think I enjoyed the garden visits more than Chelsea itself, they were more relaxing certainly.

Chelsea
I know that Jacinta and Fran have covered Chelsea already but hopefully we all have a slightly different take on it so I'm putting up an album too. I must say I found it a bit overwhelming and exhausting but also fascinating. Definitely an experience not to be missed.
