Plastic greenhouse bites the dust
Got home from the North last night and woke up this morning to find that my greenhouse had blown over. Luckily there was nothing in it and even the plants it fell on on the patio didn't come to much harm. As I wasn't sure what I really wanted it for anyway I decided to bin the plastic cover as it was torn and just kept the frame to put plants on in the Spring.

Great scent
This doesn't look that spectacular but it really gives out a terrific scent all over the garden, Viburnum Bodnantse Dawn. Sorry, think I should have turned that photo!

Autumn
I can't believe it's so long since I did a journal. I've been tipping away at the garden , cutting back and shredding, cutting the grass and removing fallen leaves at the same time, planting some things that a friend gave me etc. but nothing that seemed to inspire me to write about it! I actually don't have a lot of things that colour well in the Autumn but this Amelanchier that I got a couple of years ago is doing its best and hopefully will put on an even better show when it gets a bit bigger.

Pleased with this bargain
Bought this Aster, no name, as a bargain some time ago. For some reason I thought it was going to be pink, but actually I prefer this dark colour.

Helenium 'Autumn Lollipops'
I grew these from seed this year, I know they only have a little fringe of petals but I did expect them to be a bit bigger. Has any one any experience of them?

Climbing rose flowers again
This has never repeat flowered before; it is an amazing plant, more than 30 years old, cut down to about 2 feet of dead-looking stem about 5 years ago when I had some work done and just look at it now!

Not too bad for October
I know they've got a bit leggy and scruffy, but still I think the Petunias are doing all right for October. I've put a few more photos in Album.
