Vinca
I love this time of year, every time I go out for a look around the garden I seem to find something else starting to flower. REcently I've spotted Vinca, Anemone blanda, Scilla and Wallflowers, oh and Muscari. I'll add a few pics to Feb album.

Sun-loving Crocuses
When the sun comes out the Crocuses really open up to soak it up, just like ourselves.

Things are happening...
In spite of some awful weather, like yesterday when it poured rain all day here, things are starting to happen in the garden. I noticed today that my Pulmonaria has a bud, there are more Hellebores out, the Daffodils have buds, the Forsythia is almost fully out and I spotted this combination of Snowdrops, Crocus and Leucojum.

It works for me
Last year I tried self-adhesive labels on my seed trays and they worked fine. Not only that but some of them survived the washing process this year, but the ink washed out--all ready to re-use! I got some more seeds planted today, an easy ebough job as I had filled extra trays the last time and then I chose what to sow this time by picking those that didn't need to be covered, so I didn't even get my hands dirty! My time was a bit limited, that's why. Anyway I put in Lobelia, Portulaca, Phlox and Monarda.
