Happy New Year!
Best wishes to you all for 2012. Hope it's a good one both in the garden and in every other way too. I think my white Petunia will make it!

Hellebore
Having read the bit in IG about early Hellebores i went out for a look and sure enough one of mine is showing colour! So I cut back all the old leaves and shredded them and what I didn't get done yesterday and some other bits and pieces.

Antirrhinum
I think the weather here hasn't been quite as bad as elsewhere as I've managed to get a few bits and pieces done--cutting down and shredding perennials, weeding and so on. Having said that I have to admit that I had to leave the shredding half done today as rain stopped play! My Cosmos has finally given up the ghost so it went in the shredder too, but Antirrhinum, Petunia and some Lobelia are still making an effort!

Happy Christmas!
I'm off to the North tomorrow, so would just like to wish you all a very happy, peaceful Christmas.

And the Petunias...
...in spite of being so wet seem happy enough.

Meanwhile, the Antirrhinums...
...are optimistically putting out buds.

The last ...Cosmos..of summer.
I don't think they'll make it into 2012!

Leucojum in flower!
Another one to go with Scrubber's Daffs!

Cosmos--in December!
I thought it was great when they lasted into November, but they haven't given up yet! I notice that the flowers are gradually getting smaller as time goes on though. Not complaining! I still have Petunias , some Lobelia, Begonia and even a Pelargonium. What a weird year!
