chitting seed potatoes
i left some seed potatoes on the window ledge for about 3 weeks and some others in the brown bag they came in...hoping to sow them at different times.. both of them sprouted to more or less the same extent ironically the ones in the bag had chitted better..i think the process of putting them on the window ledge is probably more of "done thing" than something that is totally necessary. i dont know will i be doing that again in a hurry

falcon?
this morning i was getting my breakfast in the kitchen and looking out the window i noticed this bird coming to rest on a planter before jumping onto the table.. i grabbed the camera and took a few shots before it flew away. wow was it fast!!!
i'm not sure what it is but i think it looks like a perigrine falcon...any ideas?
we're a hotbed for rabbits around here so maybe it was scouring for prey. i've something similar hover in the air for a long time during the "summer"(remember them?)
