frost hit rodgersia
nearly all my rodgersia were badly hit by frost about 2 weeks ago. but i think they are recovering fairly well.
on a different note i was uploading a few photos there now and the whole process has changed from the last time i did it a few weeks ago. i dont like the the way you can only upload one at a time. and whats the save gallery about? are they not saved when you upload them ?

pastel coloured tulips
i never really planted many tulip bulbs as i thought they were fussy and needed lifting after flowering. i have never lifted a bulb and stored it-apart from hanging begonias which didnt make it-because i'd be afraid i'd forget them and not plant them the next year.
anyway, this year i bought a load of tulips and planted them all around the garden. well, i got so many blooms that seem to have lasted the guts of a month that i am now wondering whether i should lift and store them for the rest of the year till they have to go back into the ground so that i can get the same display next year
, or should i just leave them in situ and keep the fingers crossed. mmmm

hosta
i divided my hostas earlier on this year. some in january. some in april. the latter ones leafed up a lot faster. i should have counted how many i replanted or gave away. i am delighted with the way they have taken. everyone of them seems to have adapted well. am interested to see how they'll look in a couple of months

veins galore
this is the best this has looked since it went down about 4 years ago. last year i thought i'd try to divide it but it didnt work out and after i replanted it it spent the rest of the year recouperating. this year it looks really well though
