The weather fooled us. It gave us a good week, spuring us into action, planting seedlings and preparing beds. I was going to rotavate the garden, but i decided this was the lazy way and I would dig It over instead. There is more satisfaction from this and It is nice to lean on the spade and watch the robin have a feast in the freshly dug clay. I hope to open the drills next week, put down dung, place the spuds on top and raise the drill. hopefully the weather will be good to me. When I have the spuds in, it frees up time to deal with the cabbages, cauli's, carrots and all the rest of the vegs. Here's wishing for good weather.

what glorious weather, a pure joy to garden in. It is pure heaven being out in this weather. Long may it last. It has spured me into action and there is nearly not a enough daylight for everything I want to do. In this weather no job is to big and it is a dream to work in the garden.

I have dug up the long flower bed at the left front of the house, as it was smothered with vine weed. Do-nt know where it came from but it had my heart broke last year. I am now left with a long trench and a very mucky path. I will repair the fence now and give it a new coat of paint. I have the grenhouse cleaned out and ready to go and I have even gave it a fresh coat of paint. We have a new dog and he has started to dig up the lawn. he has my other flower bed destroyed. I have added a bit on to the border path around the veg garden. I am mad to get planting but I will wait till the big day comes and go's.

With the start of March I was mad to get out and started, however I was always told not to plant anything till after St Paddys day. Thank God I listened to wise old men. I have 25 kilos of spuds to put in and I can-t wait to get started. I think the stretch in the evenings is adding to my anxiety to get started. However I'll continue with the garden maintenance and wait till St paddys day comes and goes.
