The tomatoes and some of the grow bags
after finishing the first circle i had enough so i retired to the tunnel and took great care in sideshooting the tomatoes. I then put them in bigger pots and staked them, I used a plastic flowerpot as a resivior to feed and water them. I have cherry tomatoes and cucumbers in the grow bags on this side

Hi everyone
while shopping this morning in lidl i picked up 11 growbags at 1.75, what a bargin because they are alot more exsensive in other places i was delighted so i decided to ignore the docs and buttercups and start planting them up, I have strawberries and peppers i also put in 3 tomato plants but i dont think i will put any more in because they are not deep enough for the maturing plants, I have really small cherry tomatoes that i could put in them and use large pots for the bigger plants, they just looked so wrong in the growbags. i also done some sideshooting of the tomatoes, i done this very quickly because i had to go and collect my daughter from camogie, will do a better job tomorrow. As you all have probarly notice i am not great for the photos, i will definately take pics of the finished work tomorrow, the growbags are a great invention, i ran out of space in the border in the tunnel so they are perfect, saves me diggin up the other side of the tunnel which would leave me with no space for staging. I know what i need, "Another tunnel", That would be great, All my veggies are doing fantastic.
In the new year i really will have to make a new years resolution to be more camera friendly, i never have the time to take photos, its all work work work. I am changing that this summer, ALL beds will be kept weed free with mypex and bark, no more big weeding and more time to enjoy it.
well thats it for now
happy gardening
p.s I will have pics tomorrow nite

hi everyone
Finally i am getting to tackle the front garden. It is totally out of control with docks that have roots in australia. tackled rebeccas flower patch this eve, it was only small but it took alot of work to get it done, i was totally wrecked after it. hope to tackle the island beds tomorrow. Then i can start sorting the border in front of the hedge. I went to a garden centre today and got loads of perrenials and other bits and bobs, i will put up before and after pics tomorrow eve.
Hope you are all enjoying the weather and the garden. Its fantastic, hopefully they are wrong about the weather breaking, we deserve it after the horrible winter.

hi everyone
hope you are all well and happy. school all over. i just have to wait for results which i think will be out before the end of may. Examiners are at the school correcting everything, so it is the waiting game. I will really miss school and my friends, but i am glad exams are over and i can get to do my garden and tunnel work again.
spent the day in the tunnel yesturday planting up my hanging baskets and mums window boxes, need to get more compost to finish all the potting up, i have loads of pots to plant up for the patio. decided not to do window boxes this year, they make the windows so dirty and end up falling in bad winds, decided on hanging baskets instead. Bought some more new ones in aldi on thursday, and new coco liners for the other ones that i already have.
today i washed and disinfected aload of pots, that were lying around. hope to tackle the veg and fruit beds tomorrow, the fruit garden is really in need of weeding and clearing up, i also want to plant some more strawberries. walked around the garden this eve and it is in a bad state so the rest of the week will be spent out there.our hedge was a casulty of the winter weather, it wasnt great to start so, it is coming down bank holiday wknd and a new hedge (grisellinia lithorlis is going in its place, i am going to hire a shredder and use the bark around the new hedging, mypex will also be used to keep weeds down, i have some great ideas for the front garden and also the back and i have all summer to do it HORRAY.
I will take some before photos soon and post them up. The after photos will hopefully be alot better.
well thats it for now, so glad to be back with you all again.
bye for now and happy gardening
