Festive Flora
There will be a Festive Flora in Guardian Angels Church, Newtownpark Avenue on December 10th, 11th and 12th December.
I think it will be excellent ands may be of interest to you or to a Garden Group you are associated with.
Information about it can be found in the parish web site (www.newtownparkparish.com), page 3, quarterly Newsletter. I have added some photos about it - Festive Flora.

Autumn colour
Wasn't today a great day? I went for a short walk this afternoon and it was wonderful to see the autumn colours and flowers, such as roses, still in bloom.
I took some photos which you might like to look at. Some of them are of flowers a bit past their best, but I include them, as I missed photographing them when they were in their prime.
I was particularly pleased to see Viburnum farreri flowering, since it is the first time in over 25 years I have seen this. It may be because early on in the year I cut back around this shrub and also I had thought it did not flower until February when I looked for blossoms.
I had thought some of my plants would not flower this year, so I was particularly pleased to see the Viburnum and the Ceratostigma flowering.
For the last three months there were few new interest in my garden, but now in autumn it is looking better. This is my fault. Graham Stuart Thomas recommended one should focus on a garden for winter, spring and autumn and let the summer be of less concern, as there are many flowers in summer. I am only realizing now I took this advice perhaps a bit too literally.
Let's hope the good weather stays for a while longer.
