I sowed Dodecatheon seeds last August - saved from the plant (pink) I had in my garden. At the same time I sowed saved seeds of Mukedia. Pots have just sat there with no sign of germination, even though I looked after them all this time. After reading Myrtle's Journal and Rachel's comments I thought I'd better look to see if I had any seeds left. I found some in my tin stored in shed. When I went into greenhouse I looked at the two pots and to my delight there is a definite fine shoot coming up in the Mukedia pot!!! Nothing happening in the Dodecatheon pot, but won't give up on them just yet. Just to make sure though I've sown some of the Dode seeds. I thought you had to sow fresh seeds which I did in August. Rachel you're the expert on this sort of thing. Do they have to have the cold to make them germinate? If so my first lot of Dode might come up? Rain here today. What a glorious week last week was - wall to wall sushine and blue skies!
