I just read last night in our local paper that this garden was open today at 11.am to 5 pm so sent a message to two Garden.ie members but a bit late as they were not able to get there .
This garden is only 5 mins from our house so I went at 11.30 and Admission was €5 to include light refreshments ...
I walked around the side passage and yes lovely planting but my garden is 100 ft long and this was about 50ft...the planting was lovely but not much colour very plesent Lady and I did meet an old friend and had a great chat and we will be meeting up next week so something came out of the visit..
Paper had ...... Carol....will open her award -winning garden in Bray next Saturday June 15th .........
Carols Garden has previously won Best Garden in Wicklow , Best Garden in Leinster and the Irish Garden Award..
Now all the gardens that I have visited from members here on Garden.ie you would have all won these Awards ..........so get going and enter .
No I was not dissapointed but expected so much more ..
I will put more photos up .

I got a call fom Fran and we were on our way ...to this beautiful house in Enniskerry . Co Wicklow .only about 20 mins. from Fran and myself .
This Garden only opens a few times a year and I have been here 3 times and each time things look so different .So much to see it would take several times to take it all in ...3 gardeners 2 groundsmen and one other boss who I do know as he is our sons friend ..he loves his job and would you blame him living in one of the gate lodges ..
Frans photos tell all ...hope Fran is going to get us all together in August ....

Just the spot.
We had our Grandaughter here for the weekend and for a 11 year old she is just interested in everything and loves life to the full ....so we were out doing a bit of tidying up and I thought the one Corn plant was getting a bit big and I was going to put it into a bigger pot...but Aja suggested to put it in the ground near the glasshouse and there it went .....it fits in well ....
This is Ajas plant I was told as she loves Corn on the cob.

Allium Siculum.
What a brilliant day again today was it is still so warm out there ...I just took a photo of this Allium Siculum so the bad start to Summer did not have any effect on this beauty.

Fascinator
My Daughter would cringe at this photo as she is a Milliner and makes the most beautiful hats and fascinators for very famous people ...as she lives in Chester she gets a lot of orders from many people going to the Chester races such as football wags and plenty more so here is my little fascinator grown by my bare hands.....

Some things in life are free
I just love this time of the year as there is so much colour and this Campanulia just spreads and settles into the slightest crack in a path or on a wall .
This area of our garden gets sun only early morning and late afternoon so the Tulips are always late and this year very late.

One Wedensday morning I went down the garden and there were 4 heads of my lovely poppy ,so I took them up and put them into a little glass each and this morning I came down a little late to the kitchen as the Sun was shining in the kitchen window and one had burst open , A bird or something must have hit them.
