Little water feature fo the birds to wash
Have been busy clearing and cleaning and moving plants getting ready for winter, the greenhouse is nearly empty only some peppers left and then I will give it a good scrub and start thinking what to grow for next year. I have a lot of seeds but will pick out only a few this year and only a few seeds of each, grass cut and edges trimmed OMG if my garden was big I would not be able for all of it bless you all that have big gardens how do you do it I know a labour of love .
I am going to look for new ferns and grasses for next year as I love both, it is a bit windy so the hedges can wait until it dies down.
Back out to enjoy what I have and maybe read up on some grasses.

Bathing Robin
Today I cleaned the water feature and it was a big job I had to empty all the water and then scrub the inside of the of the tank and with so many plants around it ,it was not easy to get at the water .
When the paint was drying we had a lot of birds coming and having a look and they got in to where the water flows and of course no water and Greg said it was cruel to see them looking for the water so he took a pot of water and poured it in and he was only back in the kitchen and there was the little Robin having a bath. It will be switched on again in the morning so we will be having all the birds to breakfast and them having their baths so beautiful to see.

Japanese Anemones
We have had the painters painting the house on the outside and now they are finished and all looks great .
When they were putting up ladders I had to watch and make sure of where they were putting them they would just walk any place and I was having a fit every time I saw the ladders on top of these and said" ah they will come back , this morning I went out and saw these all ok had to straighten a few but they just get on and bounce back again they are a great plant and for the past few years they have not spread any further .
Looks like it is going to be a great day and get out and enjoy.

Royal Hospital Kilmainham
Today we went to visit Kilmainham Jail and we had to wait for 2 hours to get the guided tour and decided to visit The Royal hospital which is close by and I remember visiting it as a child as we had a Lt.Cononel as a neighbour who was not married and he used to visit the old soldiers on a sunday he used to bring cigarettes to some old boys as he would call them and today brought back many memories
It is worth a visit its free and you can picnic there a beautiful place so near the city and I took so many photos but the high buildings were spoiling my photos as they are so modern for such a lovely garden and a wonderful house

My Tomatoes Tom Thumb
I cannot believe it is seven days since I was able to get on this site as when I had time it was down and then I was busy. I have been to Powerscourt Waterfall and then the Gardens The Airshow was on here, the Culture of the World show and visited a jail and am very tired but enjoying all Oh and we had family for a barbcue on Sunday. I just read Rachels jurnal and it was a bad night last night as when I went out to the garden a lot of heads were around the garden and tall grasses blown over I am going to spend some time tonight reading all the journals I have missed
It got very dark early tonight but I hope the Summer is not over as it was so good to be able to say we are having a meal outside and not worry about the cold or rain.
Any body have trouble with internet ??? am sick of it I think I will buy a €20 little box for a months internet , my sister has it and never has any trouble.
This is the 3rd bowl of tomatoes and about the same still to be picked and they are so small but I knew they would be as they are Tom Thumb.
