I was just out in the garden as it was getting dark ato see if my bulbs were showing and all the ones that are in pots are up about 1 inch and as i passed by my Camelas both have buds and look like they are early am I right???

Just had a peek into the glasshouse and took these up to the kitchen for inspection and all doing great and thanks to a packing I got and thought it might work and it did flowers on two of the plants.

My house plants had to take a hike up high over Christmas and seem to be doing ok some are in the spare room some in the porch which is not heated but look ok I paid a visit to the glass house and all looking fine.

We went to Woodies today and was not tempted at the Orchids at €3 99 as I have never been lucky with them.

Greg and myself are going to Dublin to buy a book for each other a little after Christmas prezzie for each other,  oh I wonder where we will end up Greg likes Borders and I like Easons but we will see.

We have to go by bus as all darts are not running to Bray but it will be different on a bus a treat I would say for Greg as I dont think he has done it ever but we said we will not take the car.

I was fed up with white trees so I used these Christmas decorations as a change.

Its been a hard year but now it is time to just sit and wait for Santa I think I have been a good girl.

This guy is 32 years only and has been sleeping in this open shelter for about 6 months now so my friend and myself have been talking to him for a while now he said he tried the shelters around and he could not take the fighting and the drunks as he does'nt do drugs or drink, I cant believe he is still alive as last night was the coldest I have ever been and I was in a heated home. The hotel gives him food and a flask, my friend and myself got him boots and socks and he said they make a difference, How long wll he last ?  He is a good looking guy,  it is such a waste of a life. I asked him if I could take this photo and I told him I might put it up on this site and he said' ok  thanks

This is in our house for 25 years as I bought it in one of the  real pound shops and I got one for each of my sisters at the time it is a candle and each head has a wick and God help me if anyone lites it I will not be responsible for what I would do.

I love Christmas and as I had flu I was a bit late putting up the decorations this year and with our Grandaughter we make it special for her and for me I think I have not grown up and this year it is so beautiful, I love all shopping , baking , making presents , carols the lot.

A peek

This morning Greg and myself drove down to the beach to see if we could get a shot of the sunrise but so dark and not a sign we meet so many people doing the same had a chat and returned for breakfast and as I was clearing up I just got a glimps of the sun it looked like it was teasing me a cloud just let it be seen of a few seconds and by the time I got the camera it was gone so I thought that was it, went upstairs to do some tidying  in my sons bedroom there it was peeping again and I had the camera ready this time and this is it

I was sitting in the heat of the car waiting and  this is the only view that was at the beach.

Myself and a sister went for walk last night  to take a few photos. It was magic a lot of people doing the same so we were not mad,  called to another Sister and we walked to the beach so clear and clean loved it ,  but this poor guy was still standing  with his hand out when we were walking home .

I will see is he still there this morning.

I made this many years ago and nobody in the family like but after all the time I spent making it it come down from my attic and takes up its place like all my other decorations do much to the dislike of the family I love it and thought I would share it with you.

Oh I have just spent 3 hours trying to untangle 3 sets of lights and just ended up using 1 set and it looks fine, I spent today up in the attic down in the basement [and yes we have a basement ] up in the attic and then closed up and then the fight started with the lights I am   just going to get rid of all the other lights and just keep the one set , as I got no dinner and now am sitting here I should be in my bed.

With decorations being put up and plants having to be moved and am afraid forgotten about I just notticed this as I went into the dining room to pull back the curtains, it seem to be happy and flowering away even if I have not seen it for a few days I will leave it where it is it might be better.

Jacinta put up a plant a few days ago and I thought I had the same one so I went to visit my friend who gave it to me and took a photo of the plant she slipped and gave me a cutting we still dont know if it is the same one Jacinta had a journal so if Jacinta will let me know the name please .

This is my friends one and is so big and has been flowering 3 months now and she has another one ready to flower.

Up early this morning had breakfast and I thought would I go for my walk knowing that my friend does'nt walk on Sunday's and got my coat boots and gloves on and Greg said he would come with me and when we got down to the beach not a sign of my friend the sun but we walked a little and I turned back to look and there it was late!  but what a sight it was no clouds I was so happy as I have now got the one I wanted.

It is a beautiful morning out there and sun is shining but very low in the sky, a lot of people out walking on the beach and that is a good sign. Hopefully we are going to see Roundwood in the snow today if the roads are ok .

This morning was realy to cold for my early walk , we went at about 4.15 pm and the sky over the horizion was a lovely pink, so I had my camera as usual and we spotted this guy surfing alone very brave I thought.

I was in Dublin today and as I was walking down Grafton Street this man was just standing still and collecting money, a pidgeon kept landing on him and of course I had to take a photo of him and bird.

Just heard from Rachel and all is well and has no internet and is happy she got heating oil thru today it took 6 people to dig the usual through . It was getting bad and thinks her Orchids might have suffered from the cold. Just to let you all know how she is.

As I was coming in from my walk I just noticed my Fuschia dead or dying and yes it did survive last years cold but it was later and had been cut back am a bit sad as I have it 26 years and has given great colour as we get near our front door

Was on to Rachel and she is snow up to her ears, she said she has never seen so much snow in Ireland in her life

I went down to Bray Town yesrerday and down came the snow so we went in for a coffee and when we came out the town had come to a stand still with cars not able to get up the town , and we all give out about our Gardai and look at this 4 of the getting things back to normal fair play to them they pushed every car to go safely on there journey this was 4 30 in the afternoon.
