New Tulip open

New Tulip open

Have not been doing much in the garden only having a look at what is opening and what needs watering and the Glasshouse did need a good dr outenching and some of the plants which were only planted out.  I have to pot on the tomato plants on Saturday as I am going to a wedding tomorrow and we all know who it is a few Sisters are meeting at another Sisters house and will all have a good day plus lunch and tea is on tap we did get a proper invite.  Maybe it is a bit silly but a little bit of happiness for all is a tonic, looking forward to it.

This is my latest Tulip to open it is Tulip Blue Specticle , and it has a lovely splash of blue inside and it glistens all around the blue. Love it

Got this in Terra Nova and it just looks so good as I had 2 pots of Ivy growing up on wire and I planted them in the ground  and it just finishes it of with my new Fairy and door.

A big Thank You Martin and Deborah

Just to say what a brilliant day I had. What a beautiful garden, what beautiful people to share it with thank you to Fran Maria Rachel Bruno Jacinta and Steve.

This garden has to be seen as I have so many photos taken and cannot choose the best ones to put up as all of them are better than each other I do mean the garden and not the photos as my camera is not the best but I did try.

What a lovely Vegan spread Deborah put out for us it was delicious will be trying some,   Oh! and we had Rachels lovely Vegan Apple pie to finish it was lovely.

Thank you Fran for  the lift and I think I was a good girl as I was not turfed out maybe because you love a laugh also it is what keeps us going.

A great day and with my kind of people

Lamium

Had to get this plant out of bed and just put it in a tea cup as it was getting everywhere and I just put it into 2 big tea cups to keep it until someone wants it as it is a great ground cover but am afraid takes to much of my ground.

Not Shirley Tulip

Just had a look out at my garden and alot of the Tulips are now open and some have still to I get a bit excited when I see some new ones open.   I thought these were Shirley Tulips but no they ae not as I just Googled Shirley ones and was a bit dissapointed as our Daughter paid us a fleeting visit today on her way from Chester as she is now travelling  down to Waterford to do a course so maybe by Thursday when she arrives back Shirley Tulips will be open, as her name is Shirley I would love them to be .

Love this after all the rain.

Double Tulip

Beautiful day again and am afraid I was back working and it will be a week or so before I get a chance to take my job outside

My Student arrived on Saturday night from Japan and it is so hard to get him into a sleep pattern, also he has not a word of English so it is hard on him he is 15 so I am giving him a bit of TLC for this week,  we go out for walks and trying to get him familar with the area, learning will come next week I hope as I have a lot to do and looking at Jacintas and Scrubbers Journal I am tired reading all they did today.

Just went out to take this photo of Double Tulip.

Went for a walk on Bray Head today and it was such a beautiful day when we got to the top the sky  changed  from blue and reflected on the sea and when we came down the front we stopped and ate fish and chips on the wall oh what a lovely way to spend Mothers Day and not a child in sight, and I have 4 of them all away.

A lovely visit on Saturday

Pond area

We went to Avoca in Co Wicklow on Saturday to visit Hoeys  {Jurjita} what a beautiful place it is its a bit of Heaven or should I say a big bit of Heaven. When we arrived all were a little sad as the new cat had got out and was missing.

The garden house children Jurjita was a perfect setting just like a country house and what a welcome we got tea coffee apple cake , I was so suprised to see how much work was done on the garden and house in the 3 years they have been there I am putting up photos and they just speak for themselves,

Thank you Jurjita and your two beautiful children who are so well behaved for a lovely evening.

Still there but leaning a bit

01 April 2011 20:49:52
Leaning a bit.

Leaning a bit.

This day last year I put this photo up and everyone thought it was an April fool joke.

Today I was passing it again and now it is leaning a bit to one side plus chimney.

Just thought it survived the bad winter again but if this wind keeps up it might not survive much longer.
