Ricinus

Great weather for the past few days but plenty of rain in the night and plants are just loving it .

I got some  Ricinus  seeds from Rachel after she came back from her holidays and I did do as she had written on the pack and one plant started to grow and it got a bit big for the pot so I potted it on but my luck it was dead in a few days .... so I started all over again and this time I got 3 to grow and they all are doing great ,  I love them and thank you Rachel

Grass ID please

Grass ID please

I have had this 4 years as I got it at Blooms and it came home with me on the long journey to Bray ,  first the packed little bus to Heuston then the Luas to Connolly Station , then the Dart to Bray,   and it was about 4 ft then so my self and a Sister  spent it laughing as the plant was in the way and was a great way to start a chat with all the people coming from the day out .  I love it as every year it just gets bigger and here it is half the size it will be .... Please if you have the name I would love it.

Just about to open.

Pollycondon..

Pollycondon..

This I got for €1 at a fair on the beach 3 years ago and as I had never seen it before took a chance and wow! spent the €1 on it,  it has flowered for the past 3 years and  I divided it and passed it on to Jurgita and I saw it getting ready to open in her garden yesterday so it is quiet hardy .....and it did not break the bank.

Another Euphorbia.....

Another Euphorbia.....

Well I was lucky to go out into the garden early and get this photo of my latest Euphorbia as maybe in the morning all will be under water as this rain and wind is to stay for another few hours.

I love this one it is not so tall but I love the colours and is neat so far.

It is Euphorbia Cyparissas 'Clarice Howard as I found out on Face Book today as the tag had blown away and of course must have gone in the bin after the last windy day and I had to sweep up leaves ,where they come from this time of the year beats me.

Have a nice day everyone

Ah! not rain again!

Ah! not rain again!

I am getting a bit sick of this rain oh yes we need it for things to grow but when things are getting drownded it is sad. I have things to do in the house but the house gets looking after all year its the gardens turn at this time. I have 2 water butts and they are just spilling  over,  I know we need about 2 more fitted but when are we going to get a dry few hours to do the job.

Ok! rant over , everything is getting bigger and what is standing looks  good and am waiting to plant out what is in the glasshouse when.....

I took this photo in the rain with great difficulty on Tuesday as the rain started and Greg was having a great laugh at me out through the window but I got a lovely photo if I may say so myself.
