made a local visit today to Malahide walled garden, its open since before x-mas, it was an enjoyable ramble around,as long as your plant expections are not too high, they have complimented the older existing planting, but it needs to establish itself. its an ideal family day out or a pleasent amble about, you have Avoca cafe and shop, outside the walled garden you have the playground and plenty of space and ideal for the dog.

oh yeah, what a day,

i went to mount usher, the best gardens in Ireland, i arrived at 11.20 and it was dull and in the afternoon the sun came out and, oh boy the dancing dappled light for the pics was fantastic, i left at 4.45 totally in awe of these magnificent gardens, i was here last year too, but i so enjoyed today their, i did not want to leave, i had other commitments but to hell with that this was in the zone, i put up an album. happy man tonight.

i like this a lot.

this was sundown a few days ago and i loved the light in the garden on the plants at sunset. i have two neighbouring trees which are annoying at the moment and they will be gone soon i hope after some persuasion of the person responsible for planting them.

compared to last season.

this plant is amazing, i planted it on a north facing aspect, as you can see the sun on it their in the pic, it gets 20mins early in the morning only, if the suns shinig of course, as do the other plants, the sun shines between two buildings briefly, yet this is one of my favourite beds in the garden. its in shade all winter and after that 20mins that it until next time.

looks promising.
