Lone Anenome in NW Corner
Finally after nearly three months of no gardening I'm starting to get back into the groove managing to spend a couple of hours last Thursday morning cutting back all the debris in the NW bed. The weather was really spring like with lots of bulbs starting to push their way up such a difference to this time last year. Today managed to get another stint outdoors no sun but still workable, set to removing debris from the beds that run along the front of the house as soon as I turned the corner to the east gable bed I was met by a sharp breeze coming from the SE. Still a lot more cutting back to do but weather permitting the east gable bed will be finished tomorrow then I'll tackle the terrace bed and pots leaving the east bed and the south bed below the terrace till last. One job that has to be done is to rebuild the arch at the top of the steps that disintegrated in the gales so as the climbing roses and clematis are able to be pruned if it's not fixable then I'll need to source a new one. Another job on the list is to go for a wander around to see what needs to be removed or divided and where plants sitting in waiting can go once the tidy up is finished. Fingers crossed I'll also get back to posting up comments and journals, my lap top seemed to be hi jacked by James since he came home at Christmas as he was busy studying for exams and doing assignments for his final year.
