Tulips turned down
Seeing as you are clambouring to see the tulip heads maintaining a certain height above the soil, I will show it now.
18 April 2010 22:00:23

Tulips
These tulips like to be the height that they are, last year we put them in a two feet tall pot and the next day they hung down to six inches below the rim and turned up again. I can show you a picture of this later if you all want me too.
18 April 2010 21:51:46

12 April 2010 10:30:09

Heat stroke
Out in the blazing sun all day selling plants in Foto. Not feeling right today at all. The lady beside us could not have sold much as her selling technique was not good considering the amount of competition. She told me that she was putting on sunglasses so that no one would know when she nodded off!!!!
10 April 2010 22:28:20

Yellow flowering tree
This a beauty that shows itself at this time of year, it is beautiful but the frosts can damage the flowers
10 April 2010 21:26:58

Fleeting White Flowers

In two months time I hope it will all look like this again, with the winter long forgotten.
05 April 2010 18:39:47

Frogs
I think that we have lost a lot of frogs this winter in Ireland. Look after you spawn.

04 April 2010 19:53:33

Dry Grindle
I fixed the marine pump at the base of the grindle, a ghastly business diving down to remove a worm that was caught in the impeller. Well I chickened out of the diving in and bailed it out first instead, but I still had to remover the worm.
04 April 2010 19:48:45

Dry weather
We have it cushy over in Limerick so I got out the old sprinkler to water in the ferns.
04 April 2010 13:22:08

Ferns and primroses
Here is the picture of the 55 ferns and many primroses planted in the new beds either side of the newly raised lawn. Not much to see as nearly all of them are still dormant, hopefully the shot that I put up in a few months will knock your socks off. :-)
04 April 2010 08:37:38

Easter egg
Thank goodness for Vegan easter eggs. I shall devour this one for breakfast and get out into the garden. Happy one you lot. :-)
03 April 2010 21:40:12

Oak Seat
I have now put the Oak seat in place, any of you who are my friends are welcome to come and sit on it and have a cup of tea with me. I planted 55 ferns today, will put up a picture when they come into growth.
03 April 2010 08:38:34

Grindle
Our grindle seems to be flooded. It seems to rain at night here and be dry during the day. Minus 1.1 last night
02 April 2010 23:21:33

I was really enjoying the garden experience this evening and again the sun went down on me, but the evening are getting longer and we have it all before us.
02 April 2010 22:47:04

A cure for blanket weed
If you overpopulate your pond with fish then they will eat all the blanket weed. Our other pond nearby has only 6 fish and we have to haul the stuff out every day. The pond in the picture that I took today started off with 6 fish and I have even given hundreds of them away and yet it is always full of them.
01 April 2010 21:19:24

sunset
A beautiful evening in the garden, mild and marvellous, then alas the sun decided to go down.
