Hope that you have a good one all of you

One ton bag

One ton bag

One ton bag

The one ton bag was a fat lot of good as it soon filled up and piled high above it and to the side so that beneath the stairs it is full of compost and to the other side as well. I decided to drop the compost down here rather than carry it all down the stairs as it had been pointed out to me that I did not have a stair rail in place

All done

All done

All done

I managed to get it all done before darkness descended. the midgees tried to attack from the start so I was forced to have four incense sticks constantly on the go to keep them at bay.

The 2 to 3 year old compost heap

The 2 to 3 year old compost heap

I went at this today, having to dig it out and carry it over the other two heaps to put it in a one ton bag so that we could use it at our leisure, and yet have a place for our winter cut back.

Compost heap

I constructed this stairway from a glass crate yesterday, for I have to climb over 2 compost heaps to empty the third, and spend the year going this way to fill it. These heaps are to the side of my workshop and out of view. The first heap is 7 or 8 feet high, but should decrease in size as the year goes on.

On the way home we decided to cross the Morningstar river in Bruff, and did walk to the other side and back. I am having troubles with my emails so I do not know if anyone comments personally to me unless I open up a journal so If anyone has then I am sorry for not responding. Hope that you are all ok :-)

Loch Gur

Today pup a few friends and I decided to cross loch Gur to the island in the middle, it was more exciting as the thaw had covered the ice with an inch of water so that it looked like we were walking on water. I brought a rope in case anyone went in

Looking over at the fairy fort today, I set to pondering (very briefly as it was minus 5), I set to pondering that I might give that fairy fort to one of the garden dot iers as a prize, I wonder who?

New project at Terra Nova

New project at Terra Nova

New project at Terra Nova

While Deb has been away i have come up with the plan to build a 5m x5m log cabin to the right of where Deb is standing in the picture. It is a dull area and this log cabin could be a sort of fancy goods shop, but also somewhere of interest to step in and browse and even step out of the rain. Won't she be thrilled. I will have to make a start by february. One orders them in a kit form and they come in separate planks which one has to slot together. I am really fired up about it. Jacinta tell Steve as we were talking about garden projects and he a nice sort of cove (that is a compliment by the way) :-)
