FRAN

Oh hi Fran. I bought this fellow, carved from laburnum in Belfast just before christmas, when Deb et moi (fluent Fran) were up there giving a talk, well Deb was giving the talk and I was in the audience along with Conrad. Anyway I hope to put it out each year for the garden season so could you please to advise me on what sealer I should coat it with. Thanks Pal. :-)

Frog spawn

I lifted most of the frog spawn from the two main ponds and put them in this little one today. There are no fish to eat them here and duck weed to hide them. I know that I will have to put a ramp in

Here it is a variegated tree mallow that she left behind after buying and Shirley Lanigan came up to buy it and saw it but I could not let her have it in case Helen came back for it. Our plant group in Limerick are going up to her garden this year so I will drop it in for her.

Polypodiums

I bought these two polypodiums at Angela Jupes, (Bellfied) today. Yay. It is great to be there early and cherry pick. The one on the right is Polypodium cambricum 'Omnilacerum oxford'  and the one on the left is Polypodium cambricum semilacerum 'Falcatum O'Kelly'  Yes you heard it right Falcatum O'Kelly. You all remember O'Kelly do you that swashbuckling cad that used the Burren as his supply nursery to fill his orders in the early 19th century.  It was lovely at Bellfield to meet Yellow Rose, Orchid, Christa, Keego and to have Paddy Tobin shake my hand. :-))
