This is variegated horse raddish as Rachel pointed out in a recent garden shot; but it is not this that I am yaying about. The credit card company has reclaimed my money for the camera that did not arrive. :-)

Took this as the light started to go down, and just before it started to rain. Big open day at Terra Nova, beautiful day, 12 visitors :-) Helen Dillon would probably get that many on a stormy day that she was closed.

Yay

Yay

What a lovely day in the garden. The sun shining all day, a fresh breeze to cool one down and no flies about, and the whole place to myself for the day. Yay and yay again :-)

Ballast

Ballast

Ballast

These stones were ballast in a ship stuck on some rocks, over a hundred years ago, they were thrown out and the ship got free. This was on the north coast of Co. Donegal. Now they are used to stop people driving through the border. I ought to organise a garden dot ie ballast hunting expedition to compass bearing north and pick up Conrad on the way. Yay. :-)

Araiostegia parvipinnata

Due to the clamouring of the populace, I have put up this pic of the thin and numerous legs of Araiostegia parvipinnata. I originaly put up a pic of this several days ago. I bought it off Crug farm and cannot find it in my reference books.

Araiostegia parvipinnata

I was trying to take a close up in the garden but it is such a fine fern that it kept moving so I nipped off a tip and took it into the house and laid it on white paper so that I could share it with you good people. It is a lovely gently spreading fern, rare and wonderful standing on a lot of thin legs. If anyone wants to see the thin legs then let me know, if you do not want to see the thin legs then keep it to yourself please. :-)

This is our beach, photo taken in 2D while the tide was out. Unfortunately I cannot have a dip once more as I had a recent garden visitor who is well known for his antics in that direction.

Yay and yay again

Yay and yay again

Took a quick snap at this plant growing in our side garden which we call the woodland walk. We have a name for all the areas of our garden, so that when deb and I discuss anything garden related, then we know exactly what we are talking about.

Helen Dillon is coming to nearby tomorrow and so I am going to give her the plant that she left behind at Angela Jupes. Alas it is flowering and this is one of those plants that die once it has flowered  :-((
