Bill & Rachel
I had a great day on Saturday, loved meeting many of you, it was great to put faces to names! Thanks Bill for being a driver, we didn't get lost, thanks Rachel for the great company. We had to take a detour on the way home which brought us into the carpark of Johnstown Garden Centre, an old haunt while living in Blessington! I have been busy looking up all the profiles of those I met and it is so lovely to look again at what you have been doing in your gardens. I am cross-eyed at this stage! Can't wait to meet up again! Next time it will be like a school reunion.

New Spuds
I am joining the gang who are showing off their "dinners" - here's mine, it is great because the kids love eating what they have grown, picked and watered (when we needed to water!) I was amazed when we dug our first potato plant that there were actually potatoes underneath. Nature - isn't it wonderful.

Name these plants?
Here is the second indoor bowl that Nicole planted along with the mosaic she did at my parents last week. The only thing is my 3 year old boy loves watering so I hope it will not be watered to death.

Cactus Planting
When staying with my parents last week the kids saw a pot my mum had potted with cactuses so we had to have one too! Here is one pot we potted up. The kids all picked their own cactus and we had lots of fun planting.

White Poppy
Last week while staying with my parents in Dublin I had the pleasure of going to see Helen Dillon's garden while kids were happily at cinema and Dollymount Strand! (Thanks mum & dad!) I have put some photos in an album. I was amazed at all the colour and I believe it had even changed since Rachel was there two weeks previous. I love this poppy here, well at least I think it is a poppy and I loved the geranium in photo No. 9 & the varigated grass in No. 11 to the right of the photo. I went around the garden 3 times seeing different plants each time! Well worth a visit, you would not know you were in the heart of Dubin.

Poppy Pink Dawn
I planted poppy seeds (freebies when I bought 2 Thompson & Morgan Seed packets!) months ago. They don't look like poppy leaves (see better picture in July album). Did anyone else plant them and are they flowering yet, poppies seem to be flowering in everyones garden except mine!

Dahlia 'Arabian Night'
I have been really impressed with the Dahlia's my hubby picked up in Aldi this Spring, they are all really healthy and this one is really beautiful and I noticed Rachel's Glory Lily came from Lidl/Aldi also, it is great to be able to pick up little gems realitively cheap, I will just have to look after them now over the winter & look out for Glory Lilies next year!

Cerinthe
Bill
Here is the Cerinthe you gave me and philastine that I am I just plonked it straight in the ground and it just took off, it is quite big now, I will put more photos in a July Album. I will keep you some seeds for next year, just throw them in the ground though and don't mollycoddle them!! I love your baby Musa Rubra - did you say one had my name on it???
