Echium Webbii
Yesterday I had the pleasure of looking after my friends 4 children Ages 1 to 12 and on her return she brought me this Echium Webbii. I was stunned, I could not have received a better gift! It is absolutely stunning. Now for advice...... please! I have goggled it and it gather it is not that hardy and may not like my open windy garden and no you cannot have it for your nice sheltered garden (yes I heard you!) Should I keep it indoors for the moment and when can I put it outside. Should I keep it in a pot so I can bring it back inside for the winter? More photos in my April album.
Any advice more than welcome.

Cobaea Scandens - for Rachel
Rachel, thank you for a lovely cup of tea and a chat this morning, it was great to catch up and see your fab garden again. Everything is doing really well, apart from the few losses but you don't notice them! Your greenhouse is stunning as usual more like a garden centre (except more organised!) You have put so much work into it. Thank you for all the bits & pieces, I am particularly delighted with the Cobaea Scandens you gave me, was goggling it and here is the picture (Am I right?).

Double Flowered Primula
Have not been able to garden too much recently, just weekends but we have done a fair bit all the same.
Veg - Potatoes 4 Varieties, Carrots, Parsnips, Cauliflowers & a variety of salad are all outdoors now in the raised beds. We extended (hubby!) our 3 raised beds to 5. All veg beds are weeded too. The rhubarb is rocketing up.
The first grass cut was done last weekend. Still have to cut the edges.
I have planted a number of plants in my new Shade Garden (except it is now not such a shady garden as we took down a tree in the Autumn, so I will have to see how my tree ferns, hostas and other ferns do in it now. Won't know until the middle of the summer. I have also planted a number of Drumstick Primulas & Candelabra Primulas and 3 Hellebores.
I love this double headed primula which looks almost dead one week and then all of a sudden comes into full bloom. I have a number of them and will be splitting them up after they finish flowering so if anyone wants some at the next plant swap, let me know and I will pot some up for you.

Happy Easter
Thanks to Ladybird's journal a few weeks ago my daughter made this for her grandparents for Easter. It was very simple to make. Happy Easter everyone.
