It takes a generous person to open their garden to the public for the enjoyment of others. Here Garden.ie lists about 300 gardens open for visiting, some year-round, others by appointment, and be sure to phone ahead.

Established in in 1989. Patricia is a fanatical gardener and has a real sense of form and colour when choosing and placing plants. Michael insists that there are as many red flowers as possible, that roses must be highly scented and there are lots of red berries. Patricia is a keen alpine enthusiast and there are lots of troughs and alpine beds, as well as woodland plants, roses, herbaceous plants and a variety of shrubs and trees. Emphasis is also placed on wildlife by including plants that bees and other pollinating insects are attracted to. The garden wraps around a modern bungalow with a wildlife pond as a centrepiece and a stream running alongside it. This is a garden for all who love colour and shapes and scent. It has something to see all year round.
