It takes a generous person to open their garden to the public for the enjoyment of others. Here Garden.ie lists about 300 gardens open for visiting, some year-round, others by appointment, and be sure to phone ahead.

The garden is a seaside one with great views of Croagh Patrick and Clew Bay . The structure of the garden is quite formal and enclosed by escallonia hedging. The planting is informed by the harsh conditions of its location and includes a mixture of shrubs, herbaceous plants and bulbs . There is a deep lily pond so children need to be carefully supervised.
