You have dug a very adequate base for the paved area and that has produced a lot of soil. The pile will settle but if it stays too high you may have ot redistribute some of it, especially where it rises on the timber fence, which it wil tend to rot by keeping it damp.

It si too small an area to be bothered rotovating and the machine would be difficult to keep up on the sloped pile. Break it up by hand with a spade when it dries and allow it to settle before finalizing the level and then planting it.

The grass will recover quickly and could be given some lawn feed.
