If the conditions favour moss, it will return. The various products will kill the existing moss but moss will grow again when the chemical wears away. It would be undesirable to have chemicals permanently present on a surface.

If you can reduce shade and dampness on the area, the moss will be slower to re-establish. Otherwise all you can do is to use moss-control products every so often as needed.
