narrow garden

Townhouse in Greystones. Narrow south facing back garden 12ft x 30 ft. Don’t want this to look like a tunnel. Bring in curves and points of interest. Any recommendations?

Any narrow space can be divided to lend better proportions to the remainig halves. There would be two ‘rooms’ of roughly 12 by 15 feet, nice spaces for rooms in average house. See Small suburban garden No. 5 for instance. https://gardenie.wpengine.com/gerrycategory/case-study-no-5/?id=5561

Or simply suggest division as in No. 4,  https://gardenie.wpengine.com/gerrycategory/case-study-no-4-small-suburban-garden/?id=5757

The principle to focus on is to divide the narrow space so as to restore proportion to the remaining spaces.

Even the smallest space can be successfully divided.
