MARY CALLAN asked 15 years ago
Can you advise me a of a clematis that I can plant now. Is a west or north facing wall suitable? I live 3 minutes from the sea. Thanks

Any clematis can be planted at any time as they are always supplied in a pot and can be planted out and kept watered once a week until there is good new growth.

The best thing to do is to go to a garden center and pick out one you like in flower. Much depends on the space available too but you can get advice on that when you go to purchase.
