Enquiry about my hedge

I have an escallonia hedge and its planted with two years it died with the bad frost but thankfully i got it back with feeding it chicken manure for the roots and tomato feed for the leaves and weeding around it but now my problem is its growing high and i have a beautiful pink flower at the moment but its bare at the bottom and its not full if you know what i mean please help what do i do??

A hedge will tend to furnish its base in time, but with escallonia, you can cut off strong shoots and simply stick them in the ground along the base of the hedge in autumn and they will root, most of them at least, and fill it out progressively in this way.
