Everlasting Sweetpea

Sylvia Rashidi asked 13 years ago

I planted everlasting sweetpea seeds in March indoors. Planted them out in early July. Some of them are twelve inches tall attached to some trellis. I am aware that they do not flower the first year but my question is what do I do with them when the frost comes. Do I cut them closer to ground level and do I cover them?

Perennial sweet pea foliage yellows and withers when frost arrives. Wait for this to happen and then clear away the withered stems. They are ahrdy and do not need to be covered.
