Grass in shaded section

QuestionsHow to growLawnsSowingGrass in shaded section

Last year I put down grass seed, it grew fine in the sunny section of the garden, but in the shaded section of the garden it grew poorly. I was just wondering whether the grass will grow in the shaded area or am I wasting my time laying grass seed again?

Grass growth is always weaker in a shaded area. If it was a matter of the seed not coming up, this may have been due to dry soil, which is often due to tree roots. In this case, it is worth sowing again over the existing lawn.

It is germinated but has been weakened due to shade, it is necessary to try to reduce shading, or else change to shrubs and perennials that can tolerate shade.
