Hi GerryMy rhododendron has some green fungal disease on the older leaves. It look like thin film of green algae – like a green powdery midlew. What is it and how could I use to eradicate this? Thanks

This is not a disease as such because the algae is simply growing on the leaf surfaces.

Probably due to too much shelter or some shading, it might be possible to open up the area without losing valubale shelter. The older leaves often develop this, due to the shading effect of the bush itself.

If it is just a small plant, simple rub the algae off with a soft cloth.
