When is the correct time to dig first early potatoes which were planted mid March

New potatoes can be dug up when they are big enough, usually after some flowers have appeared, and that is often in June.

Mid-March is not all that early and they will not be ready until some time late in June, but it also depends on the variety, the locality, the spring weather and whether the potatoes were sprouted before planting.
