Hazel and willow are easy to grow in any soil where there is space, and they move well while still smallish.

A living willow feature is just the long willow shoots stuck in the soil in the dormant season and woven toghether to a pattern and shape of choice. Control grass first as it will reduce the growth of the willow. The excess growth is cut away in summer to keep it neat.
