Hi Gerry, we want to grow some hazel and willow that we will be able to use in the garden down the road. we have planted a small woodland area 18 months ago, is it here we shoud put them or some where else, have plenty of space . Also would really like a living willow feature in the garden, any tips on how, where and when would be appreciated.Thanks.
A living willow feature is just the long willow shoots stuck in the soil in the dormant season and woven toghether to a pattern and shape of choice. Control grass first as it will reduce the growth of the willow. The excess growth is cut away in summer to keep it neat.
